You can reach Laboratory for Continuous Mathematical Education (School №564) by

  1. Trolleybuses №15 and №17 – from Vitebskiy railway station

  2. Bus №70 – from the “Yunost’” hotel or 30 minutes walk

  3. 5-10 minute walk – from “Frunzenskaya”, “Baltiyskaya”, “Tekhnologicheskiy institut” metro stations

  4. 10 minute walk – from the “Aktsent” hotel

In Saint-Petersburg, you can pay bus fare right in the bus and only by cash.


1. Arrival and departure

All participants are expected to arrive to the hotel on July 4 before 23:00 (participants should aim for arrival at Pulkovo Airport before 22:00) and stay throughout the entire duration of the ITYM until July 11.

2. Early arrival or late departure

In exceptional cases, we will be able to find accommodation for participants arriving before July 4 or leaving after July 11 at their own expense at €50 per day for full room and board. Please note that these extended days are not an official part of ITYM, so we can’t assume any responsibility of any kind.

3. Arriving by plane

Pulkovo Airport is located in the south of Saint-Petersburg. A person from the Local Organising Committee will meet you at the airport upon your arrival (look for a person with the poster with the ITYM 2016 logo). We will offer shuttle service from the Airport to the campus (it takes about 40 minutes).

4. Arriving by train

Saint-Petersburg has five railway stations located close to the city centre. A person from the Local Organising Committee will meet you at the station upon your arrival (look for a person with the poster with the ITYM 2016 logo). Each railway station has its own metro station and several bus lines.

5. Residence (Teams)

The students, the team leaders and the observers will be accommodated in the Hotel Yunost’ (7 Bumazhnaya str., “Narvskaya” metro station) in twin rooms. Note that smoking in the rooms is prohibited. Please bring a bath towel with you in case it is not provided.

6. Residence (IOC & Jury)

The International Organising Committee and the international jury will live in the Hotel Aktsent (24/22 Kievskaya, “Frunzenskaya” metro station). The website of the hotel is

7. Meals & Coffee breaks

Participants will have their breakfasts at the hotel and their lunches and dinners at the cafeteria of the Laboratory for Continuous Mathematical Education (24 Egorova st). Coffee breaks will be served according to the timetable and include coffee, tea, juice and snacks.

8. Study area

Several classrooms in Laboratory for Continuous Mathematical Education will be available for the teams from 10:00 to 20:00 (closed due to security reasons). The numbers of these rooms will be announced during the tournament.

9. Internet Access

Wi-Fi access will be provided on the entire LCME as well as LAN access in special rooms

10. Sports

Sports activities will be organised according to the timetable. All the participants including jury members and organisers will play football, basketball or volleyball. Please bring sportswear and shoes.

11. Excursions

LOC will provide participants with an excursions to Hermitage museum (Winter Palace of Russian emperors), ITMO University and special excursion to the embankments of Saint-Petersburg at night. Please have a passport and a student ID (if you have one) on you during the excursions.
